Fava bean bread recipe
Fava bean bread recipe, easy to prepare in a short time. Bread dough is similar to the preparation of a cake. Very nutritious with the addition of almond flour. You can taste Fava bean bread better if still warm, with salami or vegetables.
400 gr fava bean flour
120 gr almond flour
20 gr brewer’s yeast
12 gr salt
500 gr water
1 tbsp flax seeds
1 tbsp sunflower seeds
We combine the flours and dissolve the yeast in a part of the warm water necessary for our dough. Add the remaining water, salt, flax and sunflower seeds to the mixture. Add the chopped rosemary. The dough will be liquid, unusual for bread. The legume needs more water which it will quickly absorb during cooking. Grease a plumcake mold with oil. Alternatively, use a cake pan. Pour the mixture. Let rise for 60-70 minutes. It will increase significantly in volume.
For fava bean bread recipe, before passing in a hot oven, use a fork to stir the dough with small circular and horizontal movements. This will allow excess air, formed during leavening, to escape. At this point, you can put the remaining almonds or other seeds on the surface.
Bake for 30-35 minutes at 180°C/355°F. Always check the cooking with a toothpick.
